SECURE FIT FOR DEVICE AND SUPER FAST SHIPPING!
This is exactly what I was looking for to secure my SPOT Connect. Fits perfect on my motorcycle. Excellent price too.
I had placed my order yesterday afternoon from Oshawa, Ontario. It wasn't long after that I received an email containing tracking information for my shipment. To my surprise, when I went home for lunch today (less than 24 hrs from ordering) my package from GPS City was already there!
This was my first purchase from GPS City, and it will be one of many to come in the future.
Thank you,

WORKS WELL ON MY MOTORCYCLE
Pros: well-designed, secure, simple to operate Cons: none--really!
RAM was the obvious choice when looking to upgrade the way I held my SPOT Connect to my motorcycle. The previous method involved rubberbands... a little too dicey.
Using a RAM U-mount and short arm, I attached the SPOT Connect above my speed-o and behind my windscreen, where it is well protected.
The SPOT firms firmly in the Cradle, in a specified orientation. The roller on the latch works perfectly to allow a snug yet secure connection. I am still using the lanyard, which I loop around the short arm. I don't every expect the mount to fail, but I do want to keep the lanyard and looping it there keeps it out of harm's way.
I really can find no "cons" for this item, and GPSCity exceeded my expectations on price and delivery. Five stars were easily earned.

MUST HAVE CRADLE FOR SPOT CONNECT
Pros: strong, secure, easy to use Cons: none
If you want to mount your Spot Connect to your motorcycle, bicycle, boat or anything that you can mount a RAM mount to, this is the cradle you want. Sturdy, easy to use, holds the Spot Connect very securely. I use it on an adventure motorcycle for rugged off road trips. No problem holding the Spot Connect securely no matter how much vibration. GPSCity also provided quick delivery at a reasonable cost.

MOTORCYCLE TRAVELER..
Pros: satelite coverage, size, available ram mount. Cons: only function without smart phone is power/911
I bought the Connect and RAM mount to replace a Spot 1 for motorcycle trips.. I travel solo the majority of the time and in instances where I may not have cell coverage it allows me to check in with my wife, family, or friends where I couldn't otherwise text or call. They also like the ability to see where Ive been on a satelite map. I contemplated between the Spot 2 and Connect for quite a while. I preferr the AA batteries because they are easier to find in Lithium, but wish there was a way to activate tracking without having to turn on my smart phone. Smart phones typically discharge batteries quickly, particularly in an area where it may be searching for signal so I typically turn my phone off when on the road. You can activate tracking from your smart phone then power off your smart phone while the tracking stays active so its not a big deal, but something I took into consideration. It seems the signal strength is better with the Connect compared to the Spot 1, but it does seem to use batteries a little quicker. My Spot 1 would run nearly all summer on a pair of AA's.. With the Connect, after a couple months and only a few long distance rides Ive had to replace them already.. Overall I am I very happy with the size and functionality of the Connect. IMO anyone who travels should have a SPOT..
