Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the motorcycle handle bar or the mounting pole. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included will fit a circular post or handlebar up to 1" in diameter. Also included is the RAP-319 Plastic U-Bolt Adapter, which will allow you to mount on a bar or railing with a diamter as small as 0.5".
To mount the u-bolt base, place the top of the base on the handlebar or pole and then slide the u-bolt around the underside of the pole, threading the ends into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the included black plastic covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
