The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount consists of the 1" dia. ball and socket system with RAM Universal diamond base. The hole pattern found on the diamond base will connect to many RAM cradles, as well as third party cradles including mounts with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. Designed into the mount is a 1" diameter patented rubber ball and socket system with adjustment points at both ends of the socket arm; this with a twist of the arm knob allows for you to maneuver the mount to your optimum viewing position.
BASE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-108B RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount Base is a clamping rail strap base. The base includes a 6 inch metal strap and an 8 inch long metal strap designed to fit a rail or post with a diameter from 1 to 1.9 inches. When the base is mounted, a 1 inch rubber ball sits at a right angles to the mounting post.
NOTE: The base mounts on round, square or odd shaped posts.
ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum SHORT Double Socket Arm is 1.75" long when measured between socket centers.
END PLATE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern.
