The RAM-B-316-1-TO3 RAM-POD-I Flex Rod Vehicle Floor Mount consists of a RAM 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system on a 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod with a RAM Plastic Cradle for the TomTom GO 510, GO 710, GO 910 Series.
The TomTom GO, GO Plus, GO 300 and GO 700 GPS WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM Vehicle Floor Mount for the TomTom GO, GO Plus, GO 300 and GO 700 Series (RAM-B-316-1-TO1).
TomTom GPS Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-TO3 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the following TomTom GPS units,
- TomTom GO 510
- TomTom GO 710
- TomTom GO 910
The back of the cradle is connected to a diamond plate with ball. The ball gives the cradle the ability to connect to the RAM arm on this mount and also creates a ball and socket joint allowing you to move the cradle into many different viewing locations. All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
The TomTom GO, GO Plus, GO 300 and GO 500 GPS WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-TO1 RAM Mount Cradle Connector for the TomTom GO, GO Plus, GO 300 and GO 500 GPS Series.
TomTom GPS Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-200-1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Single Socket Short Arm has a B Size 1 inch Ball Socket at one end, and a Female Octagon button connection at the other. The Octagon Button end will mount on the end of the Aluminum Flex Rod, allowing the 1 inch socket to hold your device cradle or plate. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket end.
TomTom GPS Mount Base Design: The RAM-316-1A RAM Mount Rigid Arm Base consists of a RAM octagon at the end of a 18 inch rigid flex arm with seat rail base. The RAM-POD-I mounting foot plate base is designed to connect to a vehicle seat rail bolt in your Car, Truck, SUV, RV, Big Rig or bolted location. Connected at right angles to the mounting foot is an 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod. This rod can hold light to medium weight items in your vehicle safely and securely. At the top of the rigid flex rod is a male RAM High Strength Plastic Octagon Button that will connect directly to a RAM Female Octagon Button Arm.
Movement of the Rigid 18 inch Flex Arm:It is important to note that the rigid 18 inch flex arm found on this mount is designed to hold an approximate weight of up to 4 lbs. With this in mind, the aluminum rod is more rigid than flexible. It is designed to be bent into position when being installed and then hold it's position. This means you cannot move the mount around once installed with just one hand.
