geo Fort Walton Beach, FL Jun 26, 2009	JEKYLL&HYDE NOTEBOOK MOUNT Pros: good quality. heavy duty Cons: poor instructions haven't made it work yet. I have an Asus PC 904HA and purchased this suction-cup based mount to be able to use the PC while on travel as a GPS navigation tool. The quality of the RAM Mount system is very good. It comes unassembled and there were no instructions included. It was also missing a few nuts and bolts that I had to go purchase. I found two major problems with my application of this product. First, the arm that the suction cups are on is relatively wide for stability. I found that I could not mount it horiontally on any of my vehicles due to the curvature of the windshield. I had to mount the cups in a verticle orientation. The locking suction is very secure once you find a place it will attach. The second problem is that the 3" arm is too short. When the tray is mounted to the keyboard half the screen is too close to the windshield and I could never find a position that I could open and view the screen properly. So, I have to purchase a longer arm and hope that works. This sort of bothers me because this is not an inexpensive item and so far it sits in a corner of my house unused. I assume others have gotten this to work in their vehicles so I still recommend it. It might work for you without additional hardware. Recommend? YES 65 viewers found this helpful.
