The RAM-316-3-234-6 Universal Tough Tray II HD Universal Vehicle Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a RAM-POD III Tri-Leg Base and Universal Small Laptop and Tablet Cradle. The heavy duty mount is designed with a RAM 1.5 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and top of the RAM-POD III system. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Tough Tray II Series mount to your optimum viewing position. The 1.5 inch ball size is designed to hold a 5 to 10 lb. (approximate) weighted device.

Tough Tray II Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-234-6 universal netbook laptop and tablet Tough Tray II cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of netbooks, small laptops, tablets, Apple iPad, DVD players and other similarly shaped devices. The RAM Tough Tray II is a spring loaded expandable tray which includes four (4) flat side clamping retaining arms and four (4) standard retaining arms. These arms can be moved both vertically and horizontally. This allows for a custom fit for varying thicknesses of electronic devices and the freedom of not blocking ports or drives.
Netbook/Laptop Mount Tough Tray II Dimensions:

Tough Tray II Mount Cradle Plate: The RAM-202 Marine Grade Aluminum Round Plate is designed to connected to the back of the mount cradle with a AMPS hole pattern. The round plate has a 1.5 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1.5 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. Tough Tray II Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-201 RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1.5 inch C size Ball Socket Arm made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 4.63 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Tough Tray II Mount Base Design: The RAM POD III is a universal base which allows you to mount a variety of devices like a laptop, tablet, Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) in your car safely and securely. The top of the mount includes a 1.5 inch ball plate for connecting a RAM 1.5 inch socket arm. The mount bolts to the existing seat rail bolts of the passenger seat and can be custom shaped to fit in your vehicle in the location you require.
The base is constructed of three different legs: 18 inches, 20 inches and 30 inches, and at right angles to the base of the legs are feet with mounting holes. To mount the RAM-POD III, simply place the two of the feet holes into the passenger seat mounting bolts and adjust the mount to the required height with the flexible legs. The third flexible leg on the RAM Pod III should also be bolted under the dash of the vehicle, to help support the mount. The rigid flexible arms will hold everything you need safely and securely.
