The RAP-B-104-224-PD2 Universal Side 3 Finger Clamp Cradle Windshield Suction RAM Mount is a High Strength Plastic Composite Mount with a Locking Suction Cup Base and RAM Universal Plastic PDA Cradle. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system and a rotating pivot joint. With a twist of a knob, you can move the RAM Universal Side Clamp Cradle mount to your optimum viewing position.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.

Universal Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-PD2 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of electronic devices, like PDAs and Portable Entertainment Systems (Sony PSP).
Cradle Clamping Dimensions:
- Cradle Height Range: Open
- Cradle Holding Width: 2 7/8 - 3.5 inches
- Cradle Holding Thickness: 3/8 - 1 1/8 inches
Included with the Cradle:
The cradle includes three (3) sets of side clamping arms. Each set of arms includes three (3) individual arms which connect to the slots on the side of the cradle. The arms have a rubber tip for an optimum hold, and you can remove and change the arms so you can find the right clamping hold for you device. The arms come in three (3) different lengths:
- Short Arm Length: 1/2 inch
- Medium Arm Length: 7/8 inch
- Long Arm Length: 1 3/16 inches
Universal Mount Cradle Plate:The RAP-B-238 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Composite Diamond Plate is designed to connected to the back of the mount cradle. The diamond plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings (pdf file) (Note: the Plastic RAP-B-238 Plate is thicker than the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings shown).
Universal Mount Arm Design:
 The RAP-B-200-1 RAM Mount Socket and Octagon Button Arm includes a 1 inch B size Ball Socket and is made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 1.75 inches long when measured from socket center to button socket end. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Universal Mount Base Design: The RAP-224-2 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Locking 3.25 inch diameter Rubber Suction Cup Base is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist on the locking knob, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Super Grip Plastic Non Skid Base and Plastic Adhesive Disk.
Connected to the top of the RAM suction cup is a male RAM plastic octagon button with pivot connection. The pivot design allows the mount to tip from 0 to 90 degrees to the suction cup, while the octagon button connections allows the arm to rotate 360 degrees. The button end connects directly to a RAP-B-200-1 Plastic Arm with Socket and Female Button ends.

Suction Cup Base Mounting Options:We currently offer three alternative solutions for mounting your suction cup mount in a location other than a windshield:
- The Super Grip Non Skid Base with round plastic plate, is a weighted base that can be placed on your dash without an adhesive or drilling. Simply place the base on your dash, or any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the round plastic plate. This is perfect when you want a temporary mounting solution but the windshield mount just isn't the answer.
- The Suction Cup Adhesive Disk with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply stick the the plate to any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the plate. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.
- The Suction Cup Drink Cup Holder with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply place the base into any cup holder in your vehicle and then attach the suction cup to the plate found on top. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount away from the windshield or when you just want the mount off the dash.
