The RAM-HOL-PD2 High Strength Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of electronic devices, like PDAs and Portable Entertainment Systems (Sony PSP).

Placing Your Device into the Cradle:
Place the unit into spring loaded arm side of the cradle, and then push it open to the point where you can lay the unit into the cradle. Now gently close the expandable clamp on to the unit.
Note: If you are looking for a cradle for your Compaq iPaq, a better cradle is one of the following: RAM-HOL-CO1, RAM-HOL-CO2, RAM-HOL-CO3 or RAM-HOL-CO4. This cradle has been designed specifically to hold the Compaq iPaq, with or without expansion sleeves.
If you are looking for a cradle for your Dell Axim, a better cradle is one of the following: RAM-HOL-DE1
Included with the Cradle:
The cradle includes three (3) sets of side clamping arms. Each set of arms includes three (3) individual arms which connect to the slots on the side of the cradle. The arms have a rubber tip for an optimum hold, and you can remove and change the arms so you can find the right clamping hold for you device. The arms come in three (3) different lengths:
- Short Arm Length: 1/2 inch
- Medium Arm Length: 7/8' inches
- Long Arm Length: 1 3/16 inches
The cradle also includes a set of two nuts and bolts to connect the cradle to any of the RAM compatible mounts.
Important Mounting Information:
If you already own the cradle shown above, or any other cradle with a hole pattern that will match the RAM Diamond Plate hole spacing, then you require one of the RAM Assemblies listed below. If you are looking to purchase a complete mount for the above cradle, take a look at the Complete Mount list below.
The cradle does not ship with a RAM ball. To add a 1" ball to this cradle you need to purchase either the Aluminum Diamond Plate with 1" ball (RAM-B-238) or Plastic Diamond Plate with 1" ball (RAP-B-238). If you need to mount this cradle on a 1.5" ball system, you will require the Aluminum 2.5" diameter Round Plate (RAM-202) as RAM does not make a Diamond plate in the 1.5" ball size.
