GOOD, BUT COULD BE BETTER.
Pros: see review Cons: see review
I used the yoke C-clamp and arm assembly together with an universal tablet mount (RAM-HOL-TAB-LGU) to attach a 10.1" tablet to my plane's yoke on a 1,300+ NM flight from Southern California to Idaho (and back) in a Cessna C-172. The whole system is a snap (pun) to assemble: the user connects the diamond base to mount with the provided screws and nuts. There are three lengths of screws to accommodate for different mounts. Choose carefully, or you'll scratch the back of your device! Once it's done, use the knob on the double-socket arm to release the two halves enough to allow the 1" balls to enter the sockets. After that, use the knob again to tighten the arm around the rubberized balls. That's it! The whole setup (mount and yoke clamp with arm and diamond assembly) held my Acer A500 tablet in place during 17 hours of flight, including 1 hour of flight in severe turbulence. RAM did a good engineering job on both this product and the tablet mount.
Pros: Metal construction nice one-hand release knob for adjustment, with two 1" rubber-covered balls rubber-covered balls makes the whole system rock-solid when tightened no need to be a heavy-lifter, light thumb force is enough to tighten the assembly rock-solid C-clamp screw makes it easy to attach the assembly to yoke rounded (deburred) edges prevent the metal parts from scratching the yoke column high-quality powder coating provides long-lasting protection and a very nice finish to metal parts. With a couple of cons (see below) this is an engineering and manufacturing feast.
Cons (not many): 1). The arm assembly has only one spring, so its load is unbalanced. As a result, when turning the knob counterclockwise, the user releases either the diamond- or the C-clamp ball, depending on which side is the spring. If you want to release both balls at the same time (as it was my case), you'd have to unscrew more of the knob, with the resulting "benefit" that one of the balls (the one closest to the spring) may escape from the arm socket.(I suspect this unbalanced spring load is by design, and not an oversight.) 2). I found that either the double-socket arm, or the rod connecting the 1" ball to the C-clamp body is too short: the tablet would not clear the yoke when the C-clamp is attached to the yoke column. I had to improvise and attach the C- clamp to the very base of the yoke back, on the soft rubber end. Thank God for a large C-clamp opening! 3). The position of the C-clamp screw makes it so that when the screw is fully unscrewed AND you fully rotate the yoke, you could hit your knee with it. After doing so a couple of times, I learned to extend my right leg in order to avoid another encounter with the screw knob. Not a biggie, but a nuisance nevertheless.

GOOD PRODUCT
Pros: well made.
Product is sturdy and works well. Should have bought a longer arm... i bought the 3". If you are considering this for an aircraft you might want to get the next size arm up.
