NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS MAPPING SOFTWARE
I purchased this software with the understanding it would enable me to easily locate areas in Alberta by LSD. The number of steps one has to go through is nuts selecting and unselecting map data, number of hoops required to jump through in menu selections, and the painstaking process of entering the LSD (requiring me to flip back and forth between numbers and symbols in order to put the dashes between LSD, Sec. Twp & Rge, (2-24-48-12W4). Once this information was entered, the tracking was offsetting the actual mapped roads, and yes I only selected one map dataset. The route line was ~50m offset from the base road information. Since this was sold to me as being Oilfield friendly, I am very disappointed in its performance and use. It would be easier to enter Latt. Long.into my gps using the information given on the margins of basic maps.

ROCANDA GRID MAP
Pros: easy to use once you understand how to enter data
Cons: zero's are not required, contrary to instruction
It seems to work great for me. I've had no issues with finding locations I've entered. It does sometimes want to lead me to roads I'd rather not use, and probably illegal as well, with a tractor and tridem trailer, but a little common sense goes a long way to getting to the correct location so far 9 out of ten times it got me to where I needed to go!

OIL AND GAS SITES
Cons: 3 out of 5 rig sites could not be found
Product easy to use typing in LSD sites makes my job easier not having to guess where to turn and which road to follow.

Pros: locates lds's near or far.
I've used this in the northern Alberta area and it hasn't let me down yet.

LSD MAPS
Pros: will get you there
Cons: review route before heading out
It will eventually find it's way to the correct LSD, but a little common sense will get you there quicker. It seems to have a problem with providing the quickest most direct route. I'm sure the recent update will cure the problem, as both maps are used at the same time.

GREAT SOFTWARE
Pros: find all lsd locations
Cons: maps in background are same garmin uses
I have tested the available solutions on the Market and this one works the best and has the best support so far. I have been able to find all LSD locations I have been looking for, but the odd time it takes me a weird route. The odd route is most likely do to errors in the maps which is expected, not the LSD locations.

WESTERN CANADA GRID MAP
With knowledge on how to get to 1 particular rig...was surprised that directions on how to get to said rig were incorrect,...Not impressed with grid layout in the Cold Lake area in particular...Will see if impression changes with increased usage...
