Over the past two days I've been to 5 different stores and I've spent about 3 hours online researching this technology. I've learned a couple things -1. there aren't all that many 'tried and true' players in the field who manufacture these things; and 2. what we need was a GPS system that offered sufficient memory (minimally 128MB), voice guidance and a car adapter. I also learned that, in our situation at this point, we don't want a PDA that also doubles as a GPS. Once I knew this, I began price shopping - gpscity.com beat the huge discount retailers like Circuit City and Best Buy (plus Target, gps.com, and gps.com) by about $100.00 on the Garmin Quest unit.
