The TomTom XL 300S is an upgrade from the
very popular TomTom ONE XL. The TomTom XL 300S differs by adding
text-to-speech and TomTom's Map Share technology on top of the very
popular 4.3" widescreen display which comes equipped with a 480 x 272
resolution, and with its 64,000 colors the screen is ultra bright!
The TomTom XL 300S features an extremely sensitive GPS receiver which
will insure you get almost an instantaneous read and fix on your
location with very high accuracy. The included internal lithium-ion
battery provides approximately three hours of battery life on a full
charge.
TomTom's Map Share
Included with the TomTom XL 300S are
maps from TeleAtlas that include all of the United States of Canada
with millions of points of interest in both countries. Lets face it -
roads change quite often. You now have the ability to change the
pre-loaded maps. With this new technology you are now able to mark
unaccessible or accessible streets, change street names, and change the
direction of a One Way street. You can share your changes that you've
made on the TomTom XL 300S, or you can download other user changes with
the TomTom HOME software.
