Description: This video goes through how to setup the System preferences on the Garmin Foretrex 401. Page over to the Main Menu, arrow down to Setup, and select System. First in this menu is GPS Mode; choose between Normal, WAAS, Battery Save, Demo and Off. Beeper for tones to play for Keys and Message, Message Only or Off. Select between Alkaline, NIMH (rechargeable) and Lithium Batteries so the battery indicator reads correctly. Language options are plentiful, for worldwide use. Spanner is the computer communication option, set to either Yes or No. Set the Owner Information so that if the unit is lost, someone can return it to the rightful owner.
