Take a look at how to set the Auto Lap feature in the Garmin Edge bike computer. To access the Auto Lap settings go into 'Settings' then choose 'Auto Lap'. you can set the Auto Lap based on Position or Distance. Once you set this feature you do not need to worry about hitting the Lap button anymore.
