I've worked with the GPS 10 before so I was familiar with
its protocol. It worked as expected, well. Be sure to
download manuals. Loaded a BlueSoliel driver then killed
the driver (some issue with XP I think).

This item failed continuously when using it with Garmin's
eNROUTE program on my Laptop. It would lose it's signal and
try to recalculate regularily when on a route. Also, it
will not support locked map programs. It uses a serial port
input rather than USB which may be part of the problem. It
doesn't come near to replacing your GPS as a receiver as
Garmin says it will.

I use this receiver on a train.Great reception
even when not close to a window.Very powerful
receiver.Highly Recommended.Works with Garmin
Nroute loaded in my laptop.

This unit works "well", Nokia Smartphone E51 and
PDA HP iPaq 210. It does not work with Garmins
latest version of Mapsource, in my Toshiba
laptop. I contacted Garmin, they recommended I
use an older piece of software or theirs called
Nroute.
