| I use this on an ATV,snowmobile, boat and in the car. It has
worked flawlessly. I have had it 4 years and it takes the
TOPO maps I need because I live in Alaska and in the winter
this thing always works. I am very sorry they discontinued
this model. I need the TOPO maps for Alaska not too many
other units have that option. | |

| Had a 276C mounted on my motorcycle for 2 years before upgrading to a 376C. It was as reliable as a bank vault; easy to use; would run for 19+ hours in battery saver mode; and I frequently used it in my car also. The best $800+ I ever spent. I sold it to a friend when I updated to the 376C which has NEXRAD weather, and my friend is also 100% satisfied with the unit which is now three years old. | |

| I bought a Garmin 276C on 3/20/2006 because of its outstanding display and features. About a month later, it went dead. When I tried to turn it on, I got a faint beep and an undistinguishable dim display on the screen. Removed and reinstalled the battery, tried 12v and ac power cords with no results. Called Garmin, and they replaced the unit with no questions asked.
I had recommended the 276C to a friend, and the same thing happened to him the first time he tried to turn it on.
Last Thursday, I was leaving on a trip. When I tried to turn it on, the same thing happened again. When I asked the tech if this was a recurring problem with the 276C, he denied that they had been having a problem with them.
I'd like to hear from any others who have had this problem. | |
