give proper review. Orlando, September 29, 2011 I bought the GPSMAP 421s to use for checking my water depth in
a gravel pit. We needed to identify where our bucket was
filling. This depthfinder shows me the bottoom very well. It
was easy enough for me to use without reading the manual. It
works well for me and I'm quite happy with it. It does what I
bought it for. franklin, August 7, 2011 easy to install, screen size big enough,
some problems with the sounder that loses the signal when
changing of direction or slowing down too fast. takes a long
time to recover the depth.
the sounder works untill boat speed is 30 km/h and stops
working when depht is over 250m.
nice for fishing, the sreen shows the size and depth of the
fish, but i don't know why the fish symbol is or blue, or
orange.
when marking a waypoint, you have to name it straight
because you can not change the name when recorded.
