Recent reviews for this item: Joe, April 24, 2013 I do a lot of hiking and I found the installed 100K topo map on my Garmin Oregon 450T left a lot to be desired, especially in areas that I have never been. The 24K topo is outstanding regarding details including off-road and trail data. It was easily installable on my Oregon 450T using Garmin’s BaseCamp. I recommend purchasing the 8GB micro SD data card as there is not enough of internal memory to accommodate the huge 24K map image file. figure how to get where I want to be on the map is
frusterating. Also colors do not seem to change to what I
want. The little bit that you can see on screen is minimal
when you try to use it with a range of 800 feet to .2 mile.
Probably would not recommend this map system unless you try
it on someone elses gps first. I'm sure if I had more
experience working with a gps this would be easier. Al, October 18, 2012 Bought this TOPO map for the 24K detail and the flexibility
of a PC installation. The install was easy. Using Garmin's
Basecamp and MapInstall software the map/route details were
simple to transfer to the GPS receiver. Make sure you rum
both Garmin applications on your PC/laptop.
