Recent reviews for this item: Tom, July 23, 2011 CN Europe NT DVD 2011 offers much better coverage of
Eastern Europe than the 2009 version. We had the
opportunity to use this product during our vacation in
Romania. While it still does not have all the rural roads
it's coverage of the urban areas is very good. We would
have been lost without it. George, June 28, 2011 I have observed several missteps, which may be attributable
to the device (265WT) not finding the correct location of
the car. Several times I was instructed to turn when there
was only a rail and 100 ft drop-off, not a road.
However,with European version the device + map sent me on a
rarely used and likely low classification route from La
Spezia to Manarola, with very tight turns, steep rise and no
shoulder let alone rails. This, when a perfectly serviceable
and pleasant secondary highway existed, which of course we
took on return, ignoring the GPS. I take the blame for not
checking the proposed route before leaving. .
On the upside - easy to install and mostly timely and good
directions Billy, June 28, 2011 Used this on a recent trip to Normandy, France. Worked
beautifully to get us where we needed to go. Especially
helpful finding our hotel near Charles de Gaulle Airport the
last night, and to the airport with rental car in the
morning. It navigates through all the roundabouts perfectly.
Easy to install on iMac computer, and transfer to Garmin
device memory card. Murray, June 18, 2011 I had a little difficulty instaling but your technical
staff was very helpful. The product works well. I used it
in England and the Channel islands. Pronounciation of
foreign names is weak but that was no problem as there
weren't many road signs. We usually relied on directions on
where to turn and the onscreen map. My wife (who navigates
for us) thinks it's a marriage saver.
