If you are looking for a mount that does not rattle or seem
loose for any of the Contour line of cameras, this is the
only mount that does not rattle. At first it is extremely
tight but after installing and removing a few times you get
the hang of just how much force you need to use this mount.
Attaching to a ¼" x 20 tripod screw just make sure the screw
is not too long and doesn't bottom out the socket. Once
installed it is completely stable.
This will work with the entire line of Contour cameras, but
if you have a Contour+ it will cover the external microphone
jack, rendering it unusable. This is one reason not to give
it a rating of 5.

this is a flimy piece of plastic with a press fit threaded
fitting on the bottom. while attaching this to a ram ball,
the threaded fitting cracked the surrounding plastic and
rendered the adapter useless. My $20 went up in smoke about
2 minutes after I'd opened the packaging. I'm just glad the
weak, crappy plastic broke during setup, and not while the
expensive camera was attached. This is inexcusable build
quality for equipment of this cost.
would not recommend this to anyone. a work around is to
purchase a ram ball plate (like RAM-B-347U) and an adhesive
mount and stick the two together.
