I have been looking for this precise type of unit for over
two years. A friend told me about GPS city and I found it
with no problems. I have only had it for a couple of
weeks and am still discovering its full potential, but the
navigation features are phenomenal. I had a little
trouble understanding the zoom feature on the map, but one
call to the support line clarified it for me and now that
I understand it, it is even more amazing.
I would highly recommend this unit for anyone, like
myself, who likes to get on their bike and go exploring.
It has helped me find my way back to the start several
times.

This is the second Edge 305 I've bought. The first
one died after 2 1/2 years. It is still about the
best value for this class of device. The 705
offers colour and a bit more wireless
functionality, but adds nothing essential.
I think the Edge 305 is essential for anyone who
wants to bike for fitness and heath or even just
fun. Logging rides is a great tool. I can
compare my ride last week with the one from a year
ago to see if I am stronger or not. Heart rate
monitor and cadence are wireless and very clean on
the bike. I have two bikes and easily switch one
Edge between them.
It is not perfect. The Garmin software is not the
best, but it is adequate. The altimeter is moody,
but useful.
I have recommended them to friends who then bought
them.
