It gives you all the details of your ride but you can choose what information you want to see while cycling. Bill, February 15, 2013 I upgraded fro m a 705 which was a quantum improvement but might not be worth upgrading if already have an 800. Love the touch screen and the infinite way you can customize it. Much more intuitive user interface. However, I had trouble with it shutting down mid-ride and then freezing. Garmin has a software upgrade on their site that seems to have fixed this. If you get one, make sure that you check if it needs an software upgrade.
