In my reviews I look at functionality, durability and ease of use. I found Garmin's eTrex 10 easy to use with all of the features needed for land navigation. I use topological maps for all of my work so a mapping function was not necessary. I highly recommend the eTrex 10 as a primary or backup GPS for any application. Baja locations. I just wanted to track my route so as to
find my way back, and for that, it worked pretty well. The
line indicating my track was difficult to see (not as much
contrast as my 10 year old gps), and the toggle switch
wasn't very reliable (it sometimes would and sometimes
wouldn't perform a function).
