What a neat little unit for geocaching, kayaking, etc.! Good combination of simplicity of operation and a full suite of capabilities, along with excellent battery life.
I thought I wouldn't like the joystick operation, but it grows on you. I found it somewhat easier to operate than the early touchscreen models (e.g., Oregon 550T) and on a par with the four-arrow approach used by the 62 series. The joystick occasionally misfires, but that may be my lack of thumb dexterity.
The seamless integration with Garmin Basecamp is a huge plus. I've been able to load several excellent maps and find the readability to be good in spite of the small screen size.
The presence of the Profiles function found on higher price models is icing on the cake.
All in all, a great value! My go-to unit when I want something as small as possible while retaining a full feature set.

The screen is easy to read, the battery life is excellent, and it has all the features a handheld GPS needs. I am amazed by the accuracy - it can tell which side of a narrow street I am walking on. It also gives me a good position when its view of the sky is obstructed, such as inside my house or in a dense forest. Finally, the price is right - including shipping and taxes, it costs less than the before-tax price at MEC. The only disadvantage of this unit, in my opinion, is that it not straight forward to load and manage maps that are not purchased from Garmin. However, it took me about 15 mins online to figure out how, so it is a minor issue.

This unit has SO many features for the price. It seems to lock in as quickly as my 60CSX and seems to have excellent battery life. The GLONASs feature is really neat ! I got this as a BD present for my wife to take snowshoeing. She can use the track feature and the display in Google Earth with the speed-distance-altitude stats. The support for multiple map sets is also a really nice feature. This little unit packs a lot of "punch for the price".
