Recent reviews for this item: Rick, February 16, 2013 I bought this to find my way out of the woods when I’m mountain biking in unfamiliar territory. The Tracks feature is my main interest. I want to set a waypoint at the parking lot, and then easily set waypoints at trail branches, preferably while riding. I also want to see the waypoints (marked in some kind of order) in relation to where I am when I stop to do a location check. This is virtually impossible for me to do. I tried to use (learn) this device at least half a dozen times while walking – in the neighborhood, on known trails etc. I’ve even gone so far as to right down step by step instructions on how to do this and still have limited success. The software is not at all intuitive. For example sometimes you use the scroll button to select, sometimes you use the top button on the right side to select. I would not recommend this to anyone trying to use it for this purpose. I am totally frustrated with it. similar model while on holiday last year. I was able to
input the Geocache locations using my computer and USB
cable supplied without any problems. It is a simple device
that is easy to use with a bright display and have fun
with. Little frustration. Ian, June 22, 2012 I purchased a Venture HC for some simple point-to-point
navigation on my dirt bike. The GPS is very easy to operate
with my riding gloves on, is bright enough to see in full
sunlight and is simple to follow the route I have programmed
into it.
