This product is small and very portable. Satellite tracking is very good. I use it primarily on our boat and when used in conjunction with navigational charts is a very dependable device.

The unit pairs with i devices well and I like that it turns on and pairs automatically when powered up through the vehicle charger. I have not experienced the accidental powering off that has been referenced in previous posts.
I am not getting any where close to a 10 Hz refresh rate using i products. The best I have been able to achieve is 3 Hz.

Wow...Fantastic !
Works well with my Ipad. Paired with a good Ipad App, it makes a superb GPS.

You've already got the device, get some map software and save some $$ and carry weight. You take your device anyway so add this unit to your pack rather than another unit with screen interface etc. finds satellites fast and tracks accurately. The on/off button is a frustrating issue. I think I solved the issue by carrying the GLO in a fairly rigid cell phone case I have left over from an old cellphone. I pair this with iPads/iPods running PocketEarth because the maps are downloaded and subsequently available offline. No cellular data fees!
