The received Tempe Sensor is not linking with my Garmin 62s. Contacted Garmin under warranty. Recommended to proceed with a master reset and if the problem is not resolved, this would indicate a defective sensor. As I am abroad and need a functional GPS, I am not in a position to risk a master reset at this time but will try pairing the sensor on another similar Garmin 62s which I won in early June when I return to Canada. Most likely, will return the sensor under warranty for a working one. Similar problem documented earlier with this Sensor purchased by others GPScity.ca clients.

The temperature sensor is great, simple to set up & is fully recorded in the track log of my GPSMAP 62sc.

I attached the sensor to my jacket while snowmobiling. Temperature`s were at the time -10C to 10C (14f to 50f). I have not been out when it is really cold yet I will have to wait until next Winter to see how it works in -30c. It hooked up with my Montana 600 with no problem.

What else can I say about Garmin's Tempe other than that. After updating the firmware on my Garmin Montana 600, the sensor was picked right up. I've checked it against other thermometers and it looks to be spot on. The clip it pops into is a bit tight, but that is good and there is a descent size gap that allowed me to apply a bit a velcro to the back of the sensor for other mounting options.
