Steve, June 10, 2013 A little short, if I want to mount my gps further forward Brian, June 4, 2013 Properly connects to the GPS, does not fall out (used on my motorcycle), inline fuse. Can be connected directly to the battery or in my case connected it to a switch that automatically shut off the GPS once the ignition key is turned off. Cable appears to have a metal lining which prevents engine electrical noise from interfering with the GPS unit. Shawn R., May 8, 2013 I bought this cable so I could transfer my nuvi 265T to our new vehicle. I didn't want to use the original light plug/power outlet cord, & the FM Traffic feature on the original cord isn't available where I live anyway, so this "power only" cord was perfect.
I was able to neatly run the cord from the under-dash fuse panel(connecting it to a low-profile ATX fuse tap for power) up to thedriver's-side mounting location on the windshield. The cord ismore than long enough for this kind of application. & makes for aprofessional install & doesn't detract from the nice new-car look.
I can highly recommend it!
