Recent reviews for this item: Shawn R., May 8, 2013 I bought this cable so I could transfer my nuvi 265T to our new vehicle. I didn't want to use the original light plug/power outlet cord, & the FM Traffic feature on the original cord isn't available where I live anyway, so this "power only" cord was perfect.
I was able to neatly run the cord from the under-dash fuse panel(connecting it to a low-profile ATX fuse tap for power) up to thedriver's-side mounting location on the windshield. The cord ismore than long enough for this kind of application. & makes for aprofessional install & doesn't detract from the nice new-car look.

Erik, April 12, 2013 Exactly what you need to hardwire your Garmin. Enough wire to either directly wire to the battery or remove the included fuse and wire it to a fused/relay set-up.
