I commute daily by boat 20 minutes each way and this fuel
sensor will pay for itself in less then a month from the
fuel savings. I used to run at 3200 rpm which after
installing the fuel sensor i found I was consuming 13.5 gph
so now I run at 3000 rpm which is only 4 mph slower but I
now only consume 8.5 gph for a savings of 5 gph. It was
real easy to install took only about 1 1/2 hrs. you will
need to purchase an extra network extending cable as the
one that comes with it is only about 6' long. Luckily I had
a spare one that was 25' long.

Installed 2 fuel sensors with a Garmin GPSMAP 740s on twin
454 Magnum MPI Horizons. After approximatly 2 weeks, the
restriction from the small filter and sensor caused fuel
supply issues with both engines. In addition, the
information provided by the sensors is of very limited use.
Don't waste your money or effort. Garmin's support was
very poor.

I was impressed by how much Garmin includes with their
sender even though it is twice the price of the Lowrance
unit. The installation and setup was easy, but I'm not sure
how accurate it is. While cruising the fuel flow and
economy seems to fluctuate quite a bit and never stabilizes
even though the load on the engine and throttle position
are not varying.

Works great. Calibration accurate right out of the box.
More steady and accurate than my FloScan.
Neither work well at slow troll speeds.
