Recent reviews for this item: Gary, December 31, 1969 Got my GM-270, really good one, it picks up signal reallllly fast, just seconds, I had a Laptop unit before, also good, but it takes minutes to locate satellite... and the even better part with GM270 is, it can even receive signals inside the house!
the only trick to use it is, on your PPC, you can use the application comes with the unit to scan and test the product, but if you want to use with any map S/W, you have to shutdown the small application first and enable GPS from within your map s/w. I had it open before start map, and the map complained it can't read the GPS data input, after several test and try, I figured out that you don't need to run the application(driver) at all, everything can start from the map, hope this will save you guys some time :) JORGE ACÓN HO, December 31, 1969 I would to know if this Holux GM-270 Ultra Compact Flash Card GPS Receiver can be used with TOSHIBA POCKET PC e740.
