Les, April 19, 2012 Yardages off quite a bit! 132 from the 150 marker? Used a
FREE iphone GPS (not GolfLogix)& bang on 150 to center. I
live on a course so its easy to check. Also out on every
course ive played? I like the unit otherwise, but being
accurate is all it really has to do? I also tried the
GolfLogix iPhone version, off the same!!!!
Hot Toddy, March 27, 2012 I have owned the GPS8 since June 2008 and love it. play 2-3x
a week and I make sure I always have it with me when I play.
It is easy to load courses on Computer then download onto
Gps8 unit. Takes 2-AA batteries, I suggest get a charger and
4-AA rechargeable batteries (Energizer). Keep them charged
up, 2 batteries = 3to4 18hole rounds, after 1 full year of
use of batteries should get at least 2 rounds. Just turn it
on 5-10 min before you tee off, automatically recognizes
course your on. Don't really need to touch it again unless
you want to go back a page or push a button to measure
distance. Pretty Accurate 0-8 yards off but mostly around
1-3 yards. BUY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT !!!!
zeman, April 8, 2011 I bought the gps8 because it was me by garmin. I used it
only about 20-25 times in 2 years. This years I tried to
download several courses in states other than where I live
the LCD scene went blank. after several attemps to
correctly download them again and failing, I called
Golflogix's customer service and was simply told there was
nothing they could do as that unit was unrepairable. I was
advised to buy a new gps. The rep.stated they have had this
problem before in the past. He admitted I was just out my
$350. I will never trust Golflogic again but will purchase
my next unit from a competitor.
