Recent reviews for this item: ebratt, June 11, 2009 Upon arrival of the phototracker I installed the included
software with no problems. After installing the batt in the
tracker, I attempted to connect it to my PC. The software
would only recognize the tracker on one of my USB ports (I
have seven) and whenit did connect it needed a firmware
upgrade.
I then took a walk around the neighborhood to test the
product, the initial track was recorded fine and uploaded
with no problem.
When I attempted to record the next time the device would
not recognize any satellites. A call to support had me due
a hardware reset (not listed in the troubleshooting section
of the manual) . The device then found the satellites.
HOWEVER, after downloading that track it did the same
thing, another call to support said that this is a common
fault.
Needless to say, the device was RETURNED and I would not
reccommend it
GPSCIty was great to work with compared to Gisteq and
accepted the return with no questions Emmett, May 25, 2009 On receiving the unit, I had to contact suppport
to even get the unit to be recognized buy my
computer, and it still only works on 1 port.
After changing the battery, THE FIRST TIME, the
unit no longer aquires satellites.
I will be asking for a refund Sam, April 17, 2009 Have to change the battery everyday and at every
change have to wait for satellites signals.
Worked for a few days sometimes having trouble
acquiring the initial satellite signals. Now it
does not acquire satellite signal at all.
The idea behind the product is great but the
product is cheap and useless. Fred, April 3, 2009 Not very useful, takes a long time to lock to
signal, and is way off when it works, I am sorry
a paid full price for this thing!!!
