Good device. The free first year tracking is awesome. Sometimes it takes time to locate the device. Battery life is OK. I recharge mine weekly.

At 65 years old and wanting to hunt in Illinois solo for a
few weeks my family was worried if I got into trouble where
woul I be and could I get help if needed...GTU10 was the
answer, perfect, my son was able to track all my movements
while going to and leaving my deer stand for the two weeks
I hunted.....worked flawlessly...

I purchased this tracker to use for tracking our dog. As
with all Garmin products, this device is excellent, both in
service provided and quality of manufacturer. I paid the
$5/month for the more detailed tracking, which has been
offline a couple of times during the first month, but that
has only been a slight inconvenience. The detailed level
of tracking that this additional service provides is well
worth the cost. The "pouch" for attaching the tracker to
the dog's collar is well made. The only downside of this
for my specific need is that it is a little large for our
small dog, but a minor inconvenience for the security it
provides.

It is able to get a signal while in its case and under the
seat, I have had it set to every 15 minutes and the battery
life is at 80% after 1 week. (I allow it to sleep while
inside a geo fence)It can take a while to notify you that it
has left a geo fence (sometimes up to 5 minutes. I find this
works fine for me because you can still locate on demand if
need be.
I intend to change the reporting times over this weekend, so
I'll review again when I see how it does with frequent
reporting.
