Recent reviews for this item: NCH, August 10, 2012 Well designed system that is easy to mount and connect. Could
have used an extra set of field installable connectors. I had
difficulty establishing communications from my GPS NMEA 0183
output to the GMI 10, but the Garmin technical support guy
was superb in trouble shooting the issue. He even we so far
as to find and read the manual for my non-Garmin GPS. One
note, some sites on the internet state that the GMI 10 won't
handle both NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 data sources at the same
time. This is not true. I'm using NMEA 2000 for the wind
instrument and NMEA 0183 from a GPS for speed over ground
data.
