Recent reviews for this item: TR, November 2, 2012 I had an older Zumo with XM antenna. It got traffic and
weather in addition to XM radio.
When it eventually broke I replaced it with a newer Zumo,
but the XM antenna did not work with the new unit. I replace
it with this antenna, but it only does radio and not traffic
and weather which is really what I wanted it for.
It is not GPS city's fault, but I wish it were clearer
between Garmin and Sirius/XM what each unit did. John, October 29, 2012 Just what I needed for the install of XM with wether and
traffic for my Garmin 665 GPS. Randy, June 8, 2011 In my case, this unit is only useful as a replacement for
the same antenna that came with my Zumo 665. I tried to get
my Zumo to work with both antennas (i.e. - one in car and
one on bike) and it wouldn't do it. In order to get my Zumo
to work in the car with the second antenna, I had to get XM
to send me a new signal. Then when I want to use the Zumo
on my bike, XM has to send me the signal again, as I
switched antennas. TOO MUCH TROUBLE! Mark Ocean, November 3, 2010 Matched this antenna up with my Garmin 640 to get live
weather. Worked just as expected. Mounted it Handled alot
of water without exception. Magnet holds well. This year
the Harvest Moon Regatta had big wind and seas. Pretty nice
having the information. All this info was available to
you. I use it for boating offshore for sure and whenever I
sail on the bay. Nice to have real weather information. If
your cruising or racing for extended periods of time this
is a great idea. Once you encounter tough weather then it
will help you understand how long you will be exposed and
the intensity. Another words: Oh sh.. or you are going to
have a meeting with Jesus. It has all been decided....
