The screen is very fine in detail and easily viewable in
bright sunlight. The unit is intuitive to use, though a
handy pdf user manual is included. I also purchased the
Navionics mapping software and find the gps particularly
useful and detailed. Many rocks on remote lakes clearly
marked! Great feature if you trailer your boat into
'uncharted waters'. The side-imaging feature is working
well but I see that it will take some experience to
interpret the images. You have to be moving slowly in a
straight line with little waves for the images to be clear,
but, they are clear. Happy with the value of this purchase!
Oh yea: ordered it Monday evening, arrived Tuesday morning!!
