| This lanyard is the perfect length to hang around your
neck. I also have the Garmin belt clip attachment with
carabiner fastened to my pack shoulder strap. So, I use the
belt clip as my primary holding system, with the lanyard as
the back up retaining system in case the belt clip comes
loose for whatever reason - a "belt and suspenders"
approach to not losing my GPS. This system works great for
me. If you don't like the lanyard around your neck, you can
fasten it to another carbiner on your pack strap. | |

| Bought as a replacement for original Garmin lanyard. As
good as the original. Arrived as expected. | |

| I got this hoping to use it with my Garmin Montana. While it
does work, it just seems too small and delicate to trust with
something that large. | |

| For the price, it's a good deal. A wider strap would be
better but it will at least keep the GPS from falling on
the ground or in the water. I thought it came with some
sort of clip that snaps onto the eTrex but it just attaches
by looping it around itself. | |
