FAIL. Many locations in and around Edmonton missing, 30 year
old Can. Tire location in Sher. Park DOES NOT show on map,
personal bank wrongly shown on map has moved locations 15
years ago, many other casually referenced locations are just
plain wrong, missing, or have since moved but software shows
opposite.
Same for outlying communities. 5 year old portions of A.
Henday Drive do not even show up. Several towns in S.
Alberta have disbanded and moved several decades ago but are
still indicated on the software. Many roads between Lloydm.
and Medicine Hat and on roads going both sides of border
into Sask. also have stopped existing decades ago and are
empty fields or dead ends, not large roadways as falsely
indicated.
There are so many false returns and non-locations I wrote to
Garmin/Mapsource about it and got the brushoff. Whoever
supplies them map data has ripped us all off, and I suspect
there is nothing recent or valid west of the Que.
headquarters.
I could find far more recent information if I photocopied
maps from the local archives at the museum from the early
60's, which I suspect is the source they used to metadata
into their software.
FAIL FAIL FAIL. Avoid this software and spend it on any
else, you will get better return for your money on booze
over this useless, unwarranted product. It fails for
personal OR light courier work in every aspect. By any means
DO NOT use this software if your personal driving safety is
of any concern, as you will likely wind up using a 'scenic
route' that can get you lost, stuck, and/or DEAD.
Have not used it east of Man. or west of interior BC so
there might be SOME useful data beyond this test range.

I just updated my Nuvi map but still no correction on Highway
1 in NB. Unfortunately a Nova Scotia women lost her life because the GPS directed her husband to the old route and he
missed a stop sign resulting in a deadly collision.
It is time for an update.

The Icons for features on the map are too large! They cover
one another. There are still many errors in the map.
I like my MetroGuide Canada v4 much better. Have used MGC &
my Garmin 76S GPS for 4 years on road trips accross Canada
(twice) and for about 60 hikes. Works well.
