The Montana 600 is amazing for use on a snowmobile. I use it with an amps hardware kit and it has performed flawlessly all the way to -35C and probably colder but I did not ride on days folder than that.

Have owned two Garmin GPS before checking out and purchasing the Montana 600 - Love the Big Touch Screen. This GPS coupled with the Topo Canada DVD Maps is very easy to use. Great amount of detail with the topo maps and straight forward to transfer your routes and waypoints to the Base Camp Map. Also like the fact that you have your choice to power it with three AAA batteries or the rechargeable Li-ion battery. I use this GPS unit for geocaching, hunting, fishing, trapping, four-wheeling and in my truck.

as a first time gps owner I find the Montana 600 very easy to understand. I have a lot to learn yet but this is the gps to learn on. Iam using it on my off road motorcycle.

This gps covers a lot of activities. I'm using it for automobile travel, hiking, hunting, bicycling (heart rate, cadence). Later, I'll get the navigation for my boat. Nice... the Montana gps unit does it all, except for aviation (or does it?).
