BCBobby, April 25, 2013 a step up from my beloved Oregon 550..much better screen , great out in the sunlight..very adaptable .. excellent battery life...
Ian, April 6, 2013 I mounted my Montana 650 to my 2013 Ski-Doo Summit XM using a powered AMPS mount attached to the available (fromSki-Doo) glove box extender. Glove box door is made for the AMPS mount, nicely recessed with mounting holes pre-marked. Wired into the sled battery so GPS and screen backlight are always on. Installation was simple and very clean result.
The Montana performed very well in back country sledding, often being covered in powder or wet snow. A quick brush ofthe snow off the screen and it was always visible anduseable. Can operate GPS with bulky gloves on, which isgreat. Great screen visibility with no issues of having badview angles. AMPS mount is very secure for locking GPS inplace. Unit quickly releases when you want to remove fromsled. GPS functions are great. Loading multiple maps andhaving them all available to select from the unit is a highvalue feature. Previously had a 60csx and loved it, andwasn't sure if the Montana would match its excellentfeatures, but having used the Montana, it is clearly a bigstep up from the 60csx.
