If you intend to use this device to keep your GPS unit in one place then look elsewhere. The first time I took a left turn from a red light my unit went hurling across the truck landing between the door and passenger seat. I thought this was an isolated incident but it continued to happen over the course of a 7 day trip through Utah canyon country. It does supply power to the unit but the speaker is too week to hear over driving noise let alone the stereo.

Used this on a couple of trips. The weight of the Montana 600 out on the end of the arm makes it prone to shaking. I suppose if I spent more time with the frictions base - contouring it to the dash it might be better. I wound up buying the plastic thingy that goes into the sandbag type base and holds up a Nuvi. That seemed better

Mount is very sturdy, but the ball that holds the cradle pops out of the socket repeatedly, unless you're careful not to try & adjust angle. It's very difficult to put back in place. It really needs to have a 360 deg. adjustment, without compromising the cradle. The base doesn't really hug the dash too well, if you have a contoured one, but seems to stay in place well, despite that. The cradle holds the Montana firmly & is easy to insert & remove the GPS. Speaker works well.
