After almost a year of attempting to have the chart accuracy fixed for my small cottage lake in Ontario Navionics finally fixed it. About a week after I emailed Navionics advising that I'd had enough enough of the poor customer service and inaction I advised that I was going to submit a YouTube video outlining my experience with them. Go figure within a week I received an email stating that the chart had been corrected. There was a follow up telephone message where they wanted to call them back to discuss my email, presumably to discuss the YouTube video. I called them back and left a message, after a month they still have not returned the call !! A simple update to the chart card and it is now bang on ! Happy it's fixed but still be aware of potential similar issues. I recommend buyers dont "install" the equipment before testing it in their particluar area so it can be returned if the chart is off. Good luck.

I spent $5000 on Lowrance Equipment including HDS10 Gen 2,
Structure Scan II, G4 Radar etc. I have a cottage on a
smaller lake in Ontario that is offered in the Navionics
HotMaps package "C". The Lowrance equipment works flawlessly,
however the $150 Navionics Chart is seriously off in accuracy
putting the complete system to shame. While in my boat on my
cottage lake I am shown travelling over land most of the
time. Navionics has an online technical complaint system
that offers no response other than that they received your
complaint. I have had to hound them to find out what if
anything they are doing to address the issue. Today after I
contacted them again they say there is a mapping issue but
cannot offer a time estimate that the problem will be
corrected or even that it will. Lowrance only works with
Navionics mapping, there are no other options that I am aware
of. Beware of this issue before you buy either product. In
fairness, I had the boat on Lake Superior in the Redrock area
and the system worked flawlessly with unbelievable accuracy.
I hope that this sort of issue is isolated to smaller
Canadian lakes, but who knows. Just beware that this could
happen before you spend the kind of money I have !

I put this SD card in my bran new Humminbird 597 HD DI and
worked immediately. No need to configure it. Very safe to
use on new lakes. Helps to fish and to follows good spots.
Saves time to find good spots also. Less expensive than a
propeller broken by a rock or a branch... Same lakes
included in this product than the Premium edition for
Quebec, but NO update and NO PC software are included. Only
to use in your mobile device.

The water is broken into blue and white areas...it would be
nicer to have more colours or shades. On Lac des Milles Lac
you can very quickly go from deep water (white) to a shallow
reef (only marked in blue). Beware...not all rocks are
marked on this software for this lake.
I have a 5" HD screen and I find the depth numbers very hard
to read.
