The 760 is probably one of the best gps's i have used.Very
accurate and simple to use it has most features and the
screen is very clear. The only thing i had to do was to
download the new maps(which took around 10hrs for me)as the
unit comes with the older version

I have had the GPS for about 3/4 of a year now
and after a trip to the east coast, the GPS was
very good although some information and mapping
was interesting. In some cases I was told to
make a turn where no road existed - that was
unique to say the least. The new software update
helped that somewhat. The most aggravating was
that most of the MSN features do not exist in
Alberta - so the integrated power MSN cord is a
real waste of money and time. Interestingly
enough, once into the US all of the MSN and 760
features "turned on". Also I found that that
battery was poor with the cost of replacement
expensive - it needs to be sent back to Garmin.

I am not sure if this is the refururbished model
or not,but it came in a carry case marked GPS
traveler.I tried it out.It was a gift,and I am
quite proficit with GPS units.I am on my 3rd
model Garmin, not counting this one.It is totaly
inaccurate. We are talking 15 or more km.of course
in a straight road.I tried it in my known area
and if I was not a resident,I would be lost
because it tells me to turn unto a street when
that street isn't even there. The food or fuel
locations are really out of wack.It is a piece of
doggie do-do.I just read the feedback from
another person.Maybe I have a lemon.

I have had my nuvi 760 for quite some time now
and I couldn't imagine traveling to any other
city without it. The music feature is great. The
navigation and voice commands are excellent. I
have had 2 other GPS units and this one is
certainly the best of the 3.
