The best value for money around if you need both Europe
and N America. Screen is easy to read in all conditions -
though pity there isn't an automatic brightness control
with a light sensor - having to reset it from day to night
is a minor irritant. Mapping for Spanish autoroutes needs
updating - I had several places along the A-7 and AP-7 S
of barcelona where the intersections (and directions) were
totally wrong. Tracking is a good feature, when working
with Map Source - but some tracks failed to download, and
the maps don't transfer into Map Source as I understand
they should. However, overall very good, where the roads
have not changed recently!

My purchase of the Nuvi 770 was to replace a stolen 780.
As near as I can tell they are identical. I was very happy
with the features and performance of my 780 and, after
somewhat limited use, I'm sure that I will be just as happy
with the 770. As received from GPSCity, the product
was "as new" with all the same standard accessories
included in the box. I haven't tried the traffic
information yet but I'm not sure if it would be helpful
anyway - if it is anything like the traffic info on
commercial radio, it will be old info and more likely to
cause unnecessary diversions while not preventing delays
due to more current traffic problems.

Had a hard time finding a GPS that offered Bluetooth, audio output and
jack for external antenna. This one does all that and at a refurb price
was a steal! I travel alot for my job, and often rent cars. Most
european and many NA cars have a coating on the windshield that almost
completely blocks out GPS satellite signals - hence the need for an
external antenna (try using a GPS in a recent GM minivan - it'll never get
a satellite lock). The audio output is also great for running the GPS
through the car's stereo (so I can listen to the built-in MP3 player, have
the voice guidance cut in with instructions, or receive calls from my cell
phone through the car's speakers). My only gripe is that I can't change
the fields in the "Virtual Dashboard" the way I can on my old Garmin
Quest. This is useful for information like time/distance to destination,
time/distance to next turn, etc.
