I already own a Zumo 550 since 2007. Which I am very
satisfy with. It has route on the menu, the Nuvi don't. It
makes it more difficult to select a destination route
downloaded with Mapsouce for instance. Beside that I have
found the Nuvi very complete. I use it in my car, the Zumo
is for the Bike.

Has all the features needed for a good on highway/street gps
at a reasonable price. Comes with free lifetime map updates.
Maps can be updated up to 4 times per year. Maps appear to
be accurate.

For the price, this unit is fine. It can get you where you
need to go, though not always by the most direct or quickest
route. For routes I travel frequently, I have found the
directions very strange. The traffic feature is also pretty
worthless (at least in Ottawa). It consistently announces
"Traffic ahead" when there isn't a car in sight, and ignores
gridlock. Not sure how often the traffic is updated, but
clearly not very often. If it is adjusting routes based on
traffic, then I really worry. This may work better in larger
cities. Not sure. I do really like the bluetooth, which
works flawlessly and is alone worth the price of admission.
Don't get a unit without bluetooth, especially with
increasing number of jurisdictions that ban hand-held cell
phone use.

This unit works great...for the money it performs well.
Some confusion on the lifetime map update...Garmin site
only indicates lifetime traffice update.
