It's great to be able to just speak to GPS and your destination is entered. I can't wait to get on the road again. Craig, April 3, 2013 I've had my 2497 for about a month and am very pleased with it so far. My old GPS is a Nuvi 500, so the updates to the Garmin software are useful and intuitive. I like the slim design, the detailed maps and the Bluetooth integration. The maps are very accurate and so far I haven't seen any recommended directions that were really out of the way. I also like the traffic feature, which automatically alerts you to traffic up ahead. My old Nuvi has a "detour" option, which this model does not have. If you quickly exit a highway because of traffic, it seems to recognize this and automatically detour you. Only negative I can think of is that I can't figure out how to sync the master volume and the spoken direction volume.
