I wanted a GPS for my daughter and son-in-law to use while
we were running around in Calgary. I stopped in to pick up
some accessories at GPS City and it was on sale for $99 so
I grabbed one. It's worth $99. Good size screen with the
basic features and a full set of North America maps with
loads of points of interest (POIs) built in. Plus you get a
free upgrade to the latest maps when you register online at
Garmin.
The traffic feature works as advertised. I was only in
Calgary for a couple days so I can't say how useful it
would be. We only encountered one traffic warning and the
problem was cleared by the time we got there.
The screen is not very bright. Very disappointing for a
device that will be used mainly in daylight.
I thought I might also use this on my motorcycle. I could
buy four of five of these for the price of a Zumo!! But
there are two problems. First, the screen is useless in
daylight on the bike (it's just barely useful inside a
car). Second, the battery life is too short to run it
without a power cable. But the power cable GPS City sold me
for using it on the motorcycle causes it to go straight
into USB hard drive mode so you can't use it for navigation
with the power cable plugged in.
This is an older, fairly basic model that has been around
for awhile. It's missing features and some features don't
work as well as in newer models. It's fine if you want an
inexpensive device for basic navigation.

Je déplore juste le fait que je ne puisse pas à partir de
Mapsource enregistrer des routes. Par contre pour le prix
le fait que je puisse insérer des cartes topographiques et
que je puisse les voir en 3D est très intéressant.
