Recent reviews for this item: Jeanrick, April 4, 2013 This is my fifth Garmin GPS and functionality is very good. The unit feels solid and well made and menu's are simple. First thing that I missed was the manual, which is not supplied and I could not find a download anywhere on the Garmin website, as this model does not appear on their popdown menu.This was sorted when GPS City supplied a link - shame on Garmin. I learnt a lot from reading the manual.
The large screen is heaven for my aging eyes and although screen resolution is average, it is clear and response times are good. I will be using the unit on Africa dirt roads and I have my reservations whether the relatively small suction mount will stand up to severely corrugated roads, before dropping off - time will tell.
Please Garmin, provide a menu to delete any unwanted map. I imported the unit from the states and had no use for the pre-loaded maps. This takes up so much space that it limits my ability to load new maps for other regions.
I will recommend this unit without reservations. George, April 3, 2013 so far, seems to be working flawlessly.
