value to us at this price. bob, January 19, 2010 The mounting bracket is a cheap version of the original bracket supplied with a
new Nuvi 1690 in that it lacks the connector terminals at the bottom.
Therefore, when the operator wants to remove the GPS from the vehicle, he
must go through the extra steps of unplugging the unit from the rear requiring
both hands instead of one. Then, he must plug it back in upon remounting,
which can be quite difficult in the dark.
