Recent reviews for this item: don, July 14, 2012 I have now had this GPS for one year. This is my second
Garmin GPS, my first Nuvi 500. I use this GPS for work each
day. It locks up at least a couple of times a week. I have
to unplug it, then plug it back it. Then hit stop, then
unplug it again. Once I plug it back in then I can go to
the recently found trips and start my trip again. It's a
pain to do it that way, but it's the only way to correct the
problem.
I like Garmin products, maybe I just have a lemon. John, April 15, 2012 Unit is good for what it does, but Garmin could do a lot

Garmin needs to visit with people in field and see what is
needed. XRRACRRON, April 13, 2012 Item was delivered fast and was just as advetised. This
GPS works great on my motorcycle. My friends are buying
these also. Really nice GPS coolkp, February 15, 2012 well got my Nuvi and so far like it, but to be honest i
have not used it yet as much as i plan to (planning routes
for motorcyle riding between points A and B and not taking
the shortest distance between two points. So far the only
thing negative is that i did the upgrades to the maps and
it overwrote the topo map. called Garmin and they sent me
the US 100K top DVD. Seems like they would have this bug
fixed... maybe it just a feature :) Anyway I am still
waiting to use for what i purchased it for -- bought for
motorcycle on and off road, horseback riding, hiking, etc.
The Topo maps are not updated like i thought they would be
actually pretty poor --- the one trail i looked was not on
the topo map and it has been around for at least 6-7 years
and is on newer paper maps. Still need to learn how to use
Map Source and Base camp better. Over all it appears to be
what i wanted and the RAM mount works well. Oh Garmin
needs to provide or offer a choice on which cable you want
luckily i had a AC power charger and USB cable, even had a
spare car charger.
